It’s important to log activity that occurs in a Case, Work Order, Subcase, and Part Order. Each case work type has their own set of logging options, but all of them are located in the ribbon toolbar in the form window.

In a Case, you can log phone calls, notes, email, research, time, expense, activity, and Parts.
In a Work Order, you can log time, notes, expenses, activity, and Parts.
In a Subcase, you can log a phone call, notes, email, research, time, an expense, activity, and Parts.
In a Part Order, you can log a phone call, notes, and email.
|Log Phone Call||The purpose of a phone call is to have personal communication with the customer. The Log Phone Call button enables you to log all the phone calls along with date and time stamp.|
|Log Email||The Log Email button enables you to record all the events of E-mails that happen between the customer and the business organization. Through Log Email button, you record the event and send or save the E-mail at a time. Once the E-mail is sent or saved, you cannot reuse next time.|
|Log Notes||The purpose of notes is to note important points related to the Contact, Case, Work Order or Part Order. The Log Notes button enables you to record all the events of notes that happen between the customer and the business organization.|
|Log Timestamp||You can log timestamps only on assigned Work Orders. Log Timestamps button enables a field technician to enter travel start time, arrival time, and many more timestamps to know which work was done at which time. This enables to estimate over time work as well.|
|Log Research||Once a Case is created, the Case has to be studied in detail to work on it. Based on the research results, the Case is divided into appropriate number of Work Orders and Part Orders.|
|Log Time||Log Time enables you to record the time at which the work is scheduled and completed for a field technician. If the time is billable, charges for that time during an on-site visit will appear on the invoice.|
|Log Expense||Log Expense enables you to record all the expenses related to the work done. If the expense is billable, charges for that expense will appear on the invoice.|
|Log Activity||Log Activity enables you to record all the activities that happen between customer and organization from the beginning of the Case/ Work Order till date.|
|Log Parts||After you’ve completed work on a Customer Site, you can record how you used product Parts at a Customer Site and use this information to update the GoServicePro database.|
